Lint Roller Party 2008

The Lint Roller Party this past Friday was a rousing success!  The money from the Lint Roller Party will be benefiting LifeLine Animal Project - a fund created to find Animals a home instead of being euthanized.  Thank You for everyone who came and contributed to this wonderful cause!

I met many caring and giving people. I can't wait for next years Lint Roller Party!

Fall is in the air

I love this time of the year!

In the mornings, the air is crisp and clean. The chill in the air energizes and pumps me up. I hope everyone takes advantage of this wonderful weather by taking a few moments every morning to soak it in. Enjoy!

Natalie and Allen's Wedding

Natalie and Allen's Wedding took place last night at Villa Christina in Dunwoody, GA - a wonderfully romantic facility.  The Ceremony took place under the pavilion with an intimate number of friends in attendance.

Nathalie and I  want to thank Natalie and Allen for their generosity and kindness.  I can't wait for the pictures to be posted for you all to see! Meanwhile, I have selected a few to share here to hold you over.

Savannah - Labor Day Weekend

Nathalie & I spent Labor Day Weekend in Savannah, er, Hotannah.  As you can imagine, Savananah was hot and muggy.  We didn't stay in the Historic District - we decided to go too late to get a good place - but in Midtown at the Oglethorpe Inn.

See the picture with the loooong line?  Just a mere two blocks long - at 9:30 AM on Sunday.  Everybody is waiting to make reservations to eat at The Lady and Sons. It doesn't open until 11:00.  The people at the front arrived at 8:00 to ensure they got a seat.  .... and We thought coming at 9:30 would be too early! If you get out a magnifiying glass maybe you can see the sign.  Needless to say, we didn't get the opportunity to eat any of Paula Dean's food - we'll catch her on our next trip.   Instead of Paula's, we ate lunch at The Pirates House.  The food was great and the atmosphere greater!  It was stated that this house is the oldest in Georgia - built in 1733.  Also, it's one of the most haunted houses in Savannah.  Savannah is considered the second most haunted city in America (after only New Orleans).  Sorry to state that the only spirits seen were the ones entering my mouth.  (sorry - I couldn't help that one).

All-in-all, we had a terrific time and can't wait to return - albeit in cooler weather.

Must Love Dogs

Yesterday, Nat & I had a full slate of dogs for our monthly photoshoot at Must Love Dogs.  A couple of whom I won't name gave us a run for our money.  But, in the end, we captured the shots we were after.

Indian Wedding

Oops!  Forgot to post this photo regarding the Indian Wedding I shot a few weeks back - I love this image!

This picture was taken on the balcony of the 16th floor suite the Bride & Groom stayed in at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta.

Congratulations to the upcoming nuptials of Joan & Dennis!  I'll see ya'll in a couple of weeks!!!

I'm in the process of creating my new website... I'm looking to create a more comprehensive website with video and more information.  Stay Tuned!

Busy Week

Last Tuesday, Nathalie & I shot Natalie & Allen's engagement shoot at the beautiful Atlanta Botanical Gardens.  We arrived early to beat the heat (only mildly succeeding) - we are in Atlanta and it is the Dog Days of Summer (where did that term come from?).   The shoot went extremely well - a wonderful array of different pictures.  Natalie & Allen had a fun time in front of the camera.

Saturday was Samantha & Trevor's turn down the aisle.  We arrived early and stayed late - I want to thank Pat (Mother of the Bride) for her graciousness.  - I'll always be Mr P -  It was a great time had by all. Even the late afternoon thunderstorm did not dampen anybody's mood.   After the Rolls Royce  whisked away the new Mr & Mrs, we packed up our gear and headed for home.

Here are a couple of recent pics I think highly of:
The Spring as come and gone! Into Summer we are....

I want to thank Kelly & Ryan for their warm remarks regarding my pictures. Also, anytime I hear "I didn't know he was there" ....well that's always my goal.

We are looking forward to Stephanie & George's nuptials this weekend followed by Natalie & Allen's Engagement Shoot then Samantha & Trevor's nuptials the first weekend of August. It's another busy stretch - but we're up for it!!!

It was a busy, fun Spring - Summer is shaping up to be the same.

My tip of the week - don't patronize Fox Cafe in South Beach.

Tai Chi

For those in the know, Tai Chi is without a doubt the best martial art. It encompasses not only strength and defense but also spiritual growth. If you're interested in living a well rounded life, Tai Chi is an excellent place to start. You'll find that after you practice Tai Chi, you are calm, relaxed and stress free - not to mention the strength and flexibility you will gain.

Enough of me - goto my good friend Ben Meek's website: www.stillrivertaichi.com to learn more.

Been away, but I'm back!

First off, I want to wish my niece Aliza a Big HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY.

Last night I braved the cold (yes, cold) at opening night for the Mt Vernon Co-Ed Softball League.  All three games were tightly fought.  With the weak teams from last year revamped; it appears this year that every game will be competitive.

As I write this, my Dacey is laying on the top of my chair being used as my headrest. But, a hot one at that!!! I didn't know cats put off some much heat...

I promise to keep updates on a better basis...  But now, I must go.
