See the picture with the loooong line? Just a mere two blocks long - at 9:30 AM on Sunday. Everybody is waiting to make reservations to eat at The Lady and Sons. It doesn't open until 11:00. The people at the front arrived at 8:00 to ensure they got a seat. .... and We thought coming at 9:30 would be too early! If you get out a magnifiying glass maybe you can see the sign. Needless to say, we didn't get the opportunity to eat any of Paula Dean's food - we'll catch her on our next trip. Instead of Paula's, we ate lunch at The Pirates House. The food was great and the atmosphere greater! It was stated that this house is the oldest in Georgia - built in 1733. Also, it's one of the most haunted houses in Savannah. Savannah is considered the second most haunted city in America (after only New Orleans). Sorry to state that the only spirits seen were the ones entering my mouth. (sorry - I couldn't help that one).
All-in-all, we had a terrific time and can't wait to return - albeit in cooler weather.
